Making Road Safety Relatable
Beginning on 4 June 2026, the NSC rolled out an innovative and engaging safety campaign in schools entitled “Selfie with Helmet.” Operating under the guiding theme “Safe Child – Safe Future,” the campaign was crafted to make road-safety discussions relatable and interactive for school students.
Children were encouraged to engage with safety gear practically, taking photographs with helmets and discussing the physics and life-saving necessity of head protection.
By integrating modern youth culture, such as the concept of selfies, with serious safety messaging, the campaign effectively influenced both students and their parents, ensuring that safety conversations extended seamlessly from school gates into household two-wheeler commuting habits.
Objective and Purpose
To leverage creative, youth-friendly engagement tools to normalize helmet usage, instill lifelong road-safety consciousness in children, and indirectly influence parents to prioritize head safety while riding two-wheelers.
