A Comprehensive Anti-Drug Campaign
Commencing on 1 July 2026, the NSC launched “Mission Sankalp,” a comprehensive, long-term anti-drug campaign directed at secondary school children.
Understanding that adolescent prevention requires multifaceted engagement, the program combined creative competitions—such as poster-making and elocution contests—with expert-led educational sessions.
Multidisciplinary Expert Guidance
To provide holistic insights, resource persons from three vital domains collaborated. Police officers explained the stringent legal ramifications and NDPS Act penalties associated with drug offenses; medical professionals detailed the irreversible health hazards and neurological damage caused by substance abuse; and social activists addressed the profound psychological and family disturbances resulting from addiction.
This immersive campaign ensured that students grasped the total spectrum of devastation caused by narcotics.
Objective and Purpose
To inoculate secondary school students against drug experimentation through comprehensive education covering legal, medical and social dimensions, while encouraging creative expression of anti-narcotics values.
