Supporting Safer and Healthier Public Transport
On 10 June 2026, the NSC, in close association with the Nizamabad Police, executed a targeted public transport safety initiative under the theme “Arrive-Alive.”
Recognizing auto-rickshaw drivers as vital cogs of urban mobility and frequent road users, the program featured a major awareness rally followed by a dedicated medical camp specifically for auto drivers.
Drivers received vital health screenings—including eye check-ups, blood pressure monitoring and general health evaluations—acknowledging the physical toll of their profession. Concurrently, rigorous traffic awareness sessions were conducted to educate drivers on defensive driving, adherence to traffic signals, passenger safety and the avoidance of rash driving.
Objective and Purpose
To engage public transport operators as key stakeholders in road safety, promote responsible commercial driving, and safeguard the occupational health and well-being of auto-rickshaw drivers.
