Program Details
- Start Date: 5 June 2026 onwards
- Focus Area: Behavioral modification and habit formation regarding mandatory helmet wear
Turning Awareness into Daily Practice
Complementing the awareness drives, the NSC introduced a structured behavioral intervention on 5 June 2026—the Helmet Habit Tracker in schools.
Recognizing that mere awareness is insufficient without behavioral reinforcement, this tracker system was designed to monitor and encourage consistent compliance among students and families who commute by two-wheelers.
Schools maintained tracking charts where students recorded daily helmet usage, turning safety compliance into a positive daily habit and encouraging peer accountability. This systematic approach ensured that road safety transitioned from a temporary topic of discussion into an internalized daily lifestyle habit.
Objective and Purpose
To foster enduring behavioral modification through systematic daily habit tracking, converting safety awareness into permanent personal discipline among students and their families.
