Celebrating Womanhood and Championing Gender Equality
Celebrating womanhood and championing gender equality, the NSC organized a high-profile Women’s Day event on 5 March 2026. The event was graced by Smt. Dansari Anasuya Garu, Hon’ble Minister for Women and Child Welfare, who attended as the esteemed chief guest.
Drawing an enthusiastic gathering of 2,000 girls and young women between 14 and 22 years of age, the event also featured inspiring delegates, including accomplished women IPS and IFS officers who shared their personal and professional journeys.
The deliberations focused heavily on safeguarding women’s rights, combating cyber harassment, and building institutional resilience against gender-based threats. A landmark highlight of the program was the formal introduction and launching of the board for the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), establishing a dedicated mechanism for grievance redressal and institutional protection.
Objective and Purpose
To honour women’s leadership, educate young girls on personal safety and cyber-threat mitigation, provide mentorship through distinguished women civil servants, and institutionalize workplace and academic safety by launching the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).
